The Gratuitous Promise: not worth anything, but I'm making it anyway!.........My thoughts as a stay-at-home mom turned law student, who just passed the California bar exam.
Remember I submitted resumes and writing samples to 4 firms a couple weeks ago? One of the 4 is holding interviews this Friday, with the remaining doing so the following Friday. I got a call this morning saying the firm that is interviewing this Friday wants to speak to 4 students, and I am one of them! :)

I'm a deputy district attorney and former stay at home mom. I view a career in law as a way of expanding the volunteer work that I have been doing for years--- it will be another way for me to help those who need it. My inspiration verse is: "Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked." Psalm 82:3-4
