Overheard in Contracts Class
1L: What is "onerous"?
Contracts Prof.: "Onerous" means unduly burdensome. You gotta use it. It is a "law word". It comes in a little gift pack with "egregious".

Contracts Prof.: So here's the statutory way to get away with all kinds of duplicitous conduct.
......laughter by class....
Contracts Prof.: See, a year ago you wouldn't even have known what that means. And of course, now I'm quite happy to encourage you in that kind of behavior!
